Teresa Huber Selected as Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024 East Central Award Finalist

Ernst & Young LLP (EY) has announced that Intervala President and CEO Teresa Huber has been named an Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2024 East Central Award finalist. The East Central program celebrates entrepreneurs from Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Northeast and South-Central Ohio, and Kentucky.

Now in its 38th year, Entrepreneur Of The Year is the preeminent competitive business award for audacious leaders who disrupt markets, revolutionize sectors and have a transformational impact on lives. Over the past four decades, the program has recognized the daring entrepreneurs with big ideas and bold actions that reshape our world.

Teresa is one of 29 regional entrepreneurs selected as finalists by an independent panel of judges. The candidates were evaluated based on their demonstration of building long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.

Regional award winners will be announced on June 13, 2024, during a special celebration, and will become lifetime members of an esteemed community of Entrepreneur Of The Year alumni from around the world. The winners will then be considered by the National judges for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards, which will be presented in November.

Intervala Selects Westmoreland County Community College as Electronics Technician Training Partner

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa., April 29, 2024—Intervala, a premier full-service electronics manufacturing services provider, and Westmoreland County Community College (Westmoreland), an accredited public community college headquartered in Youngwood, Pa., have teamed up to create a comprehensive electronics technician training program.  

Westmoreland’s Workforce Development team worked with Intervala’s senior engineering staff to develop the program curriculum, which focuses on providing the practical knowledge, circuit theories and hard skills required in professional electronics technicians. Coursework and laboratory training are conducted at Intervala’s manufacturing facility in Mount Pleasant, Pa.

Intervala contacted Westmoreland with the idea for the training program to support the company’s expanding need for skilled technical staff. Collaborating with Byron Kohut, Ed.D., dean of the School of Technology, Intervala was able to design a program to meet the needs of its current staff and provide a pathway for those who may wish to pursue a degree or additional training.

Intervala Partners with U.S. Navy Talent Pipeline Program

Intervala recently became an employer partner with the Talent Pipeline Program (TPP), a program created by the U.S. Navy to increase awareness of the hundreds of thousands of skilled manufacturing jobs that will need to be filled over the next several years and to help manufacturers like Intervala hire, train and retain talented workers.
