We just wrapped up our 2022 back-to-school supply drive and it was “A”mazing! Thanks to the generosity of our awesome employees, we donated more than 500 items for students in our local school districts. The Intervala team is proud to partner with a variety of organizations in our communities to help make great things happen. Here’s to an incredible new school year for students in the New Kensington-Arnold School District in Westmoreland County, Pa, Northwest Elementary School in Manchester, N.H., and Dr. H.O. Smith School in Hudson, N.H.!
For love of the game (and great food)! Intervala employees enjoyed a tailgate-themed luncheon this week in honor of the three-game series between our local home teams: the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Boston Red Sox. A little friendly rivalry was in play as employees rooted for their favorite team. Everyone stepped up to the “plate” for some incredible food cooked up by Jaden’s Catering in Monroeville, Pa., and KC’s Rib Shack in Manchester, N.H. A great time was had by all – no ifs, ands or “bunts” about it!
Intervala’s at the fair! Set up is now complete and we’re ready for eight days of family fun at the Westmoreland Fair! We have games and giveaways for you to enjoy as you browse exhibits. And on top of that, we’re hiring for a variety of skilled and entry level positions at our new, state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing facility in Westmoreland County. Learn what’s so great about working at Intervala by chatting with our employees at the Intervala booth in the Commercial #2 building.
Happy National Intern Day to our talented interns! Intervala managers celebrated our eight summer interns this week with a luncheon and some fun swag. This year’s class of interns supported a variety of departments, including engineering, human resources, accounting, quoting and purchasing.
Intervala’s internship program runs from May to August and is a great way for college students to apply classroom theory to real-world scenarios. We want to thank our interns for all of their hard work completing various projects to support our business this summer! Best of luck in your upcoming school year!
We had a blast hosting BotsIQ’s summer engineering campers this week at our Westmoreland County, Pa., facility! The 7th, 8th and 9th graders were treated to a facility tour and Q&A session led by our Director of Operations Joe Benz. It is always a pleasure and a privilege to partner with amazing groups like BotsIQ that sponsor and foster opportunities for students to discover, explore and learn about technology. BotsIQ is a nonprofit organization that provides students with opportunities to learn about manufacturing, and invites them to participate in exciting, hands-on activities.
